An elderly couple who become cult fave Instagram influencers? Yes.

BonPon, or Tsuyoshi and Tomi Seki, have been married for 37 years and counting. They shot to Instagram fame for their great style and coordinated outfits, but have stuck possibly just because it's nice to see people who have been married for a long time and are having fun.

It's not just about the perfectly coordinated outfits, or their emphasis on affordable fashion, it's always fun to see where in Japan they're going to pop up next.

The couple met during art school in Tokyo, and the '511' in their handle marks their May 11th wedding anniversary. Their [daughter got them started](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/may/22/meet-bon-and-pon-the-japanese-retirees-making-coordinated-outfits-cool) on the road to social media stardom: “She took photos of us and posted them on her own Instagram account. She received lots of comments so suggested that we start our own account.”

The @BonPon511 Instagram account launched in 2016, and has 758k followers at current count. The duo now have their own range of clothes and accessories which is sold at the exclusive Isetan department store. On Japanese retail site Rakuten, you can shop BonPon's curated collection of items. Of course, they're not interested in being famous for fame itself. They're spreading an important message which is that retirement should be the start of something special, as Tomi told the Guardian:

“Now we’re on our own and finally have the time to do all the things we didn’t have the time to do when we were raising a family and working. We want to show that retirement can be a lot of fun, especially if you find something you enjoy doing together.”
